The two-story traditional house, built in the late 18th century of a total area of 105 sqm, in a plot of 250 sqm, was restored into an atmospheric villa with respect to the authentic character of the building that is part of the architectural heritage of Aegina and is characterized by the colourful and neoclassical buildings.

The house consists of a ground floor and a first floor that communicate with an external stone staircase. The renovation preserves and highlights all the traditional elements, using local ways of building from limestone, and the most modern equipment.

The interiors combine the timeless style and beauty of folk architecture with a modern minimalist décor that uses wood, stone, forged cement mortar and built furniture. The purity of forms and volumes are used to highlight the plasticity of small spaces. The configuration of the interior is combined with the white walls, the smooth surfaces of the floors made of cement mortar and wood, the raw wooden beams on the ceilings  and the recesses that emerge through the natural light that diffuses inside the wooden windows.

The exterior facades are made with Kourasani coloured plaster (a ready-made bioclimatic marble) in the colour of the Aeginian houses visually unifies the residence with the environment. The outdoor area is formed with built-in levels and a living room. The simplicity of the construction and the continuity of the materials aims at the gentle transition from the exterior to the interior and from nature to the construction.
